A large state-of-the art veterinary hospital serving as a centre of excellence for companion animal veterinary services as well home base to an established large animal veterinary practice serving the significant rural hinterland around Feilding.

The entry is a light timber aperture in a dark timber form.  The glazing is detailed carefully to make an elegant light filled entry that copes with differing wind directions. The entry disguises the size of the building.  It is designed to fit into the streetscape.

The animal health facilities are on a par with those in human health. 

This is a complex project visually simplified by clear planning, the use of natural light, and colour. The building has been imbued with a sense of calm.

Totally Vets Feilding was the winner of an Te Kahui Whaihanga NZIA Western Architecture Award in 2011 for Commercial Architecture.
